Template Tribe - work at home laptop on couch

Hey there Creator! Are you too busy to spend a bunch of time designing in Canva? Get free templates with a fresh look. Save time and money, get lead magnets, social media graphics, and more.

Digital business owners: Whether you're a blogger, content or course creator, coach, etc., you need great graphics and other assets to run your business.

Canva is pretty ubiquitous at this point and most of us have our own Canva account. But what happens when it's time to create those cool graphics, PDFs, a lead magnet, ads, social media posts, etc.?

If you're super creative, great with design, and have the time, you may dig in to Canva yourself and create (or adapt from their templates) everything you need.

Or if you're like me, you'd rather just buy professionally-designed Canva templates! And it's even better if you can find templates specifically geared toward your own type of business.

I may receive commissions for purchases made through links on my site. Please see my full disclosure for further information.

I belong to a very cool Canva membership called The Template Tribe. I'm going to take you behind the scenes to see everything you can get for a great price. First, here's a little sneak peek to what could be a solution for you too .... shhhh 🤫

The brand boards, logos, and icons are an example of what you get!

3 Reasons The Template Tribe Works for Solopreneurs

As a solopreneur - working in my online business completely solo - I'm a big proponent of:

  1. Keeping it simple - don't start from scratch or reinvent the wheel if you don't need to
  2. Happily paying for and supporting others who have talents I don't aka mad design skillz
  3. Utilizing "all-in-one" tools (like Kajabi and Canva) to minimize learning curves, improve efficiency, etc.

Those are also 3 reasons I love The Template Tribe by Sal Frances and have been an Annual member for 2 years.

Here are all the template topics - look at how many categories are covered, and SO organized! << This really helps when you copy the templates to your own Canva account; they're pre-organized woo hoo!

Learn More About The Template Tribe and Owner Sal Frances

If you're curious about Sal, her business journey, who The Template Tribe is meant for, etc., check out this podcast interview on The Shine Show by Salome Schillack. I'll include some quotes below from the interview transcripts.

"How to Make 6 Figures with a Small List"

Regarding what niche topic her template designs are for:

It's the purpose of the templates, so whether you're in the health industry or the finance industry, you can use the same template but the purpose of the template is the same. If it's a checklist template then different industries can use it, but the purpose is it's a checklist that your audience is going to check off items, list items on that list, or if it's an ad graphic, so it's all about the purpose of the templates.

So the membership is not meant for just one niche of people because every niche needs the same basic things. Instead, "It's (for) people who are creating online products and programs."

Instead of just making templates for what she likes or needs, or thinks WE need, she just asks her customers.

"As part of the membership as well I have my members drive it, so I release templates every month and they get to decide what they are because I have a suggestion or a template request feature."

This is where you can not only "Suggest a Template" but you can see which templates are coming soon!

Template Tribe Templates Sell Themselves

As Sal explains in the podcast episode, people subscribe to her email list, get the stack of free Canva templates, and like them so much, they join her membership straightaway. It sounds like she doesn't even have an email welcome series, a funnel, or anything! They just sign up.

I think that speaks volumes about how universally appealing her templates and design style are. I remember that her unique style is what made me get out my credit card!

Another great thing that I haven't found elsewhere is that YOU CAN SEE ALL THE TEMPLATES BEFORE YOU SIGN UP!! Yep, just go to TheTemplateTribe.com and click into each of the categories. You can see the exact templates before you spend a dime.

How Much The Template Tribe Costs

Speaking of purchasing, you can see current pricing here. When I joined 2 years ago, I think the only option was the annual price. There's now monthly and quarterly pricing as well, which is really nice.

**Please note that the pricing they discuss in the podcast episode mentioned above is now out of date. (The episode is from January 2021 so it's 2+ years old).

Template Tribe Canva Templates are Unique

By this point, I've been in multiple feminine stock photo memberships which include Canva templates and, while beautiful and interesting, a lot of the Canva templates from these sources look much the same.

But I find Sal's templates to be differentiated. Assuming you don't want your graphics and freebies to look just like everyone else's, that's a great thing, right?

How The Template Tribe Works

Upon joining, you'll receive an invitation from Sal to join the private Facebook group.

You'll have immediate access to past and future Canva templates for as long as you're a member.

Each month, there will be a drop of new templates. For example, for February 2023, these items were added to the membership today for you to use:

Lead Magnet, Launch & Offer Promos & Meta Ads:
Square Post Feed Size
Story Size
Reels Size

Every month, you'll get an email announcement of the new items so you can go log in to your membership account and download the ones you want.

What happens is you click on the template, it will open a copy in your Canva account (so make sure you're logged in), and you can then save and organize the templates however you like.

If you don't have a Canva account yet, you can try Canva Pro or Canva for Teams 30 days for free! After that, you can either sign up for a paid account or revert to a Forever Free account.

Use the Templates "As Is" or Get Creative and Make Them Your Own

Speaking of which, keep in mind that with The Template Tribe, you're getting the "bones" of the design but you're not only FREE TO but are EXPECTED TO put your own spin on them by way of your own brand fonts, colors, logo, and certainly your own words or copy.

So if at face value, her stuff looks "too feminine" or "not beachy enough" or "don't match your aesthetic," ignore that because you can unleash your creative juices and personalize them to your heart's content!

But having a base to start from is invaluable, especially when your design mind is drawing a total blank. As long as you like the basic design of Template Tribe templates, you should be good to go!

Look at all of these helpful resources that are included. Even if you're no Canva expert, you should have no trouble using the templates because of all the guidance provided inside The Template Tribe.

The Template Tribe is a One-Stop-Shop for Canva Templates

Another cool thing about The Template Tribe is that because it includes soooooo many templates at this point, you may find content ideas in there you never would've come up with on your own - for example, course completion certificates, badges, email headers, and more.

As of today, The Template Tribe has 66 "packs" with multiple designs in each, so there must be hundreds of individual designs. And I didn't even count all the Archived templates.

The Template Tribe Is Worth It

You may be wondering if this membership is worth spending your hard-earned money on. I think you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck IF you go in each month, download the templates you like, and put them to use.

Otherwise, you're just hoarding more digital assets and spending money unnecessarily. (I know, I know, we all do it sometimes ...)

But Sal definitely does her part to create fresh and helpful templates, makes them easily accessible, sends out reminders, and provides the Facebook group where you can ask questions.

How to Check Out the Template Tribe

If I were you, I'd go sign up for her very generous freebie: a template pack of 100 designs. If you like it as much as I think you will, why not sign up?
